Reflection

I didn't have much time to think about and produce audio for my figures, so I decided to write a little speech from the perspective of the Miorina Ara-panahy tribe. This would be attached to the front of the plinth where my figures would stand. I also changed the way I made the rainforest. Instead of using real plants, I decided to buy artificial plants because the plants used in my previous experiment became dry and fell off after 2 weeks. The artificial plants are also fuller looking compared to the real plants, making it feel like a real rainforest. Instead of using air-drying clay to hold the plants up and make the texture of the floor. I held the plants up by using hot glue around the stem of the plant and pressing it into the wood. I painted the wood with a variation of greens and then artificial moss down to replicate the texture of a forest floor. The final thing I did was seal any food used in my piece with nail polish, such as rice grains, lentils and granola. This would deter any flies or rodents from eating my piece while it's getting marked/ up at the exhibition.

overall I'm proud of my final outcome and I feel like like everything fell into place at the right time so I could improve my figures in stages.
